Juno Landing

Perhaps the most famous picture of the Canadian invasion of Normandy on D-Day, June 6, 1944, shows the HLI (Highland Light Infantry) of the Canadian Third Division landing on Juno beach at Berniers in France

Hello Frank: I just came across your post. My Uncle, Art Corstorphine I believe served with the HLI during WW II. He signed up in Galt. Family history suggests the he was the Pipe Major who led the massed bands through the Brandenburgh Gates in Berlin victory parade.
